چکیده
This work introduces and demonstrates the concept of Lab-on-a-Printer whereby microfluidic components are integrated with inkjet dispensers. This concept allows for multi-functional microfluidic materials processing to be performed on chip and direct post-process printing of those materials enabling printing of programmable gradients and more generally structures with programmable composition. This concept is demonstrated with a disposable PDMS device that integrates an inkjet dispenser technology with a microfluidic mixer.

Microfluidic impact printer with interchangeable cartridges for versatile non-contact multiplexed micropatterning.
Biopatterning has been increasingly used for well-defined cellular microenvironment, patterned surface topology, and guided biological cues; however, it meets challenges on biocompatibility, thermal and chemical sensitivity, as well as limited availability of reagents. In this paper, we aim at combining the desired features from non-contact inkjet printing and dot-matrix impact printing to esta...
متن کاملUse of a 3D printer to create a bolus for patients undergoing tele-radiotherapy
Background: This study describes the possibility of implementing three-dimensional printing technology to create a precise construction of a planned bolus, based on computed tomography information stored in the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) format file. Materials and Methods: To create the bolus with a 3D printer, we converted data in the DICOM format to the s...

By introducing of digital techniques, forensic document examiners has been encouraged to work with better accuracy in non-destructive ways. The aim of this study was to present a non-destructive, accessible, economic (affordable), user friendly, portable, useful and easy technique for specifying the order of crossing lines of ink stroke and printed text. The intersections of LaserJet and In...
متن کاملLab-on-a-Tip (LOT): Where Nanotechnology can Revolutionize Fibre Optics
Recently developed lab-on-a-chip technologies integrate multiple traditional assays on a single chip with higher sensitivity, faster assay time, and more streamlined sample operation. We discuss the prospects of the lab-on-a-tip platform, where assays can be integrated on a miniaturized tip for in situ and in vivo analysis. It will resolve some of the limitations of available lab-on-a-chip plat...
